Jomolhari Trek 6 Days

5 Nights 6 Days Jomolhari Trek Highlights:

  • Discover some of the most sacred Buddhist monasteries and temples in the Himalaya.
  • See many cultural attractions including medieval fortresses (Dzongs), markets and museums.
  • Marvel at the elaborate and ancient wall paintings and carvings in Dzongs and temples.
  • Traverse beautiful landscapes from lush greenery to dense woods.

Jomolhari Trek 6 Days goes from Paro through sup tropical forests, bamboo thickets, pine forests, villages, and rice fields and provides a great experience of a Bhutanese rural life.

Jomolhari Trek is a short and easy trek through Paro, the ancient capital of Bhutan. The altitude of the trail covers almost a thousand meters in range but the slopes are mostly gradual and should not present hikers with much difficulty.

Jomolhari Loop is the shortest of those Jomolhari trekking routes, which would be the most well-known treks in Bhutan. With elevation differences of 2,500m and almost 5,000m it supplies a vast range of landscapes, fauna and flora.

The highlight of this trek is the spectacular view of Mount Jomolhari from Jomolhari Basecamp (Jangothang). Trekkers who wish to steer clear of high passes and high altitude can chose an easier version of their Jomolhari Loop by retracing their steps from Jangothang (see days 1-3), while still having the imperial impressions of Mount Jomolhari.
